You don’t need to be dealing with financial difficulty to need financial education.  EVERYONE needs to understand credit, credit reporting, credit scoring, budgeting and money management as well as getting up-to-date information on things like ID theft that can affect any consumer.

If you see a topic that interests you, give us a call.  We’d be happy to talk with you about providing a program for your church group, civic or community organization, high school, college, or co-workers.

The following is a list of topics we often address in education programs:


What Every Consumer Needs to Know About Credit
:  An overview of credit issues,
the pros and cons of using credit, fine print pitfalls, the cost of credit, getting a credit report and disputing credit report inaccuracies.  1-1 ½ hours.

Know the Score—What Your Credit Report Means to You
:  That all-important credit score can be a real mystery.  Find out how the score can affect you and what you can do to keep your score as high as it can be.  1-1 ½ hours.

Building and Keeping Good Credit
:  Getting credit is one thing, keeping good credit is another.  Building credit doesn’t happen overnight.  See how you can prevent damage to your credit and continue building a credit record you can be proud of.  1-1 ½ hours.

Rebuilding Credit—It’s Never Too Late
It’s never too late to begin rebuilding credit.  Get some pointers on where to begin.  It won’t happen overnight, but with time and effort it will happen! 1-1 ½ hours.
ID Theft—What to Do If it Happens to You:  What is ID theft, how does it happen, and what can you do to prevent it?  Learn more about ID theft and steps you can take to protect yourself.  1-1 ½ hours.


Budgeting & Money Management—A Strong Foundation for Financial Success
Managing your debt and building a sound financial future are nearly impossible without planning, effort, and budgeting.  It’s not as bad as you think!  Join us and learn more about how to budget your way to financial success.  1-1 ½ hours.  Open and print our handy budget worksheet - Word document (100KB) or .PDF document (50K)

Choosing a Credit Counseling Agency
:
  Learn more about Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Mid-Florida and the services we offer.  If you’ve ever wondered how credit counseling should work, this is the session for you.  1/2 hour.

Talking to Teens About Money
:  Learn how to talk to your teen about money and what they need to know about the world of personal finance, credit, banking, car insurance, and more.  Don’t let your kids leave home without “the talk.”  2-4 hours.

Camp Money Que$t: Camp Money Que$t is a three-four-day day camp designed to teach 13 to18 year old youth about vital life skills regarding banking, education, careers and money.
